Purpose

The Diamond Foundation of Prince George’s County, Inc. (DFPGC) was organized as a charitable and educational organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended to: (a) promote charitable, youth development and educational activities; (b) assist community groups and individuals with civic improvement and charitable activities; and (c) promote the general welfare by providing services to the community to encourage and promote the development of its people, and its institutions from time-to-time.

The DFPGC is the owner of the Kappa Community Development Center (KCDC) located in Old Town Bowie, Maryland. The KCDC is the home of the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi ® Fraternity, Incorporated.

The Mission of the Diamond Foundation of Prince George’s County, Inc. is to inspire achievement, develop principled leaders, and strengthen communities throughout Prince George’s County, Maryland by investing in education, mentorship, workforce
development, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and innovative partnerships.

Guided by the values of Kappa Alpha Psi ® Fraternity, Incorporated, we empower individuals to realize their fullest potential while creating opportunities that produce lasting generational impact.
